Norwegian Technology with Global Potential

Since its establishment in 1974, ONS – Offshore Northern Seas has developed into a global arena where energy companies, technology firms, research institutions and investors meet to discuss solutions for the future energy system. The event attracts thousands of participants from around the world and serves as an important showcase for new technology.

For OTECHOS AS, ONS represents a unique opportunity to present Norwegian engineering with the potential to create value far beyond Norway’s borders.

At ONS, OTECHOS will present the Downhole Centric Reciprocating Pump (dCRP) — a new pump technology designed to improve production efficiency in oil and gas fields.

The technology is being developed in collaboration with Aker BP ASA through a project supported by public funding of NOK 19.7 million.

The project addresses a challenge highlighted by several actors in the energy industry:
finding efficient alternatives to gas lift systems in mature fields.

The dCRP technology is designed to contribute to:

  • increased production in mature fields

  • lower operating costs

  • higher uptime

  • electrification of production solutions

  • reduced reliance on conventional gas lift systems

The technology may also enable more efficient handling of multiphase flows and contribute to increased oil recovery from existing fields.

We look forward to meeting energy companies, industry partners and investors at ONS 2026.
